David Flury, born and raised in Los Angeles, is a self-taught artist whose work is influenced by his Mayan roots, his upbringing in the city and influence from earlier generations of LA-based Chicano artists, many of whom he studied under. His experiences and apprenticeships have helped pave the way for him as an artist, all the while still being able to evolve in his work and maintain his unique style.
